Fashion is an everyday trending style in clothing, accessories, hairstyle, body and basically the art of looking good or making something look good. Fashion started around the 17th century and it wasn’t until the 1900s that fashion designing came into existence. Fashion designing is nothing but trying to create different styles of designs and applying it to clothing, body and other things. Fashion designing is now a massive industry with a lot of competition involved. There are a lot of free fashion design softwares available online for you to get started. Today, we look at a few of the top fashion designing softwares.

  1. Vstitcher:Created by Brownzwear, Vstitcher is one of the most advanced fashion designing softwares available in the industry. It has a lot of features that help technical designers, pattern makers and developers. It has a prototyping solution that allows one to transform 2D concepts to 3D prototypes in an instant. You can also create realistic cloth physics based on a human body to see how the fabric fits and reacts in different scenarios. All in all, this is an easy to learn software that will help you learn a lot about fashion.
  2. Digital Fashion Pro:This software is published by The Harper Arrington Company and is one of the best softwares when it comes to cloth designing. It features over a hundred digital fabrics that you could use to create your clothes on. There are training guides and videos to help you get familiar with the software. There are also over 200 templates that you can use for free to change your designs according to your preference. Digital Fashion Pro even has a free trial period to test it out and see if it’s to your liking. I recommend trying this one out.
  3. Poser:Poser is more of a 3D animation software than a clothing designing software, however, this software has a lot of features that allow you to create clothes on a 3D model and figure out how it fits the trending style. Published by SmithMicro Software, Poser has a lot of in-built models and animations allowing you to fine tune-your designs. There’s even a pro version of this software that gives you access to more of the advanced features for professional developers and designers.

These are three of my favorite fashion designing softwares. I am sure most of you will find whatever you’re looking for here. But, if you’re a beginner, I suggest sticking to one software to grasp all the concepts and then compare it to others.
