Nagalapuram Eco-trek

Place: Nagalapuram waterfalls, outside Bangalore, Bangalore

Cost: ₹2,900 onwards

Event details: Famous for trekking beside waterfalls, this outing takes place under the thick canopy of the eastern ghats. We begin the trek on Friday and the trekkers join us from the pickup points at Whitefield, Marathalli, Domlur, Madivala. Early on Saturday, we begin the trek after breakfast. We reach the destination in four hours. We wait here for lunch, go to base and set up camp. We have dinner and bonfire. On Sunday, we pack up after cleaning the camp.  We have breakfast and lunch on the way in restaurants and reach Bangalore.

The activities include trekking, swimming, sightseeing, camping, waterfall visit, and bonfire. You can use the washroom only in the morning. Pets and children below 15 cannot come on the trek.

Beyond the horizon – Kodachadri

Event details: Kodachadri has great natural beauty and we see it located right in the centre of the Mookambika National Park. The trip starts on Friday in the minibus and we reach our home base on Saturday. We have breakfast and begin our trek to the waterfall. We reach the Hidlumane falls and refresh ourselves. Here we begin the uphill climb and soon reach the peak. We watch the sunset and ride back in a jeep. Then, we have dinner and bonfire. The next day, we have breakfast and begin our trip back to Bangalore. We visit the Nagara Fort and see some spectacular things. We reach Bangalore by 9:00 PM.

Bavikonda and Kulchukki trek

Event time: Friday, 24 February 2017 – Sunday, 26 February 2017

Event details: This trek is only for those who are older than 12 years and younger than 45 years. The duration of the trek is two days and two nights. The trip takes us from Bangalore to Mullodi hills and back to Bangalore again.

The trek begins at 7:30 PM from Bangalore and reaches Balgal by 9:00 PM. From there, we take the jeep ride to reach Mullodi hills base camp. The next day at 7:30 AM, we have breakfast and start on our way to Bavikonda peak.  A little further on, we reach the Kulchukki point. We reach the peak and then descend to the campfire and hot dinner.

The next day at 7:30 AM, we have breakfast and spend some time at the Somavati River waterfall. This is next to the base camp. We begin the return trip to Bangalore at 11 AM and reach the city by 10:30 PM.
